Follow the steps below to configure Netscape Mail 6.x to send and receive email.

How to Set Up Netscape Mail 6.x for Windows to Send and Receive Email
  1. You will need your email server settings to set up your email program.
  2. Open Netscape 6.0.

  3. From the Tasks menu, choose Mail & Newsgroups.

  4. Select ISP or email provider.
  5. Click the Next button.

  6. In the Your Name field, type in your name.
  7. In the Email Address field, type your full email address (e.g., johndoe@pioneerwireless.net).
  8. Click the Next button.

  9. Click the POP radio button in the Select the type of incoming server you are using area.

    Note: If your version of Netscape Mail has a Server Type drop-down list, choose POP Mail Server.

  10. In the Incoming Server field, type your Incoming mail server (POP) (as determined during step 1 of this walkthrough).
  11. In the Outgoing Server (SMTP) field, type mail.pioneerwireless.net.
  12. Click the Next button.

  13. In the User Name field, type your full email address (e.g., johndoe@pioneerwireless.net).
  14. Click the Next button.

  15. In the Account Name field, type your full email address (e.g., johndoe@pioneerwireless.net).
  16. Click the Next button.

  17. Click the Finish button.

  18. From the Edit menu, choose Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings.

  19. Select Outgoing Server (SMTP) in the Accounts list.
  20. Check the box next to Use name and password.
  21. In the User Name field, type your full Pioneer Wireless email address (e.g., johndoe@pioneerwireless.net).
  22. Click the OK button.

    Note: When you first send an email, a window asking for your password will appear. Type your email password and click OK to continue.
