Follow the steps below to set up Netscape 6.x for Mac OS X to send and receive email.
How to Set Up Netscape 6.x for Mac OS X to Send and Receive Email
  1. You will need the email server settings for your domain (Pioneer Wireless.net,) in order to complete this walkthrough. .
  2. Open Netscape.

  3. From the Tasks menu, choose Mail & Newsgroups.

  4. From the Edit menu, choose Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings.

  5. Click the New Account button.

  6. Select ISP or email provider.
  7. Click the Next button.

  8. In the Your Name field, type your name.
  9. In the Your Email Address field, type your full Pioneer Wireless email address (e.g., johndoe@pioneerwireless.net).
  10. Click the Next button.

  11. Click the POP radio button in the Incoming Server area.
  12. In the (Incoming Server) Server Name field, type your Incoming mail server (POP) (as determined during step 1 of this walkthrough).
  13. In the (Outgoing Server) Server Name field, type mail.pioneerwireless.net.
  14. Click the Next button.

  15. In the User Name field, type your full Pioneer Wireless email address (e.g., johndoe@pioneerwireless.net).
  16. Click the Next button.

  17. Click the Finish button.

  18. Select Outgoing Server (SMTP) in the Accounts list.
  19. Check the box next to Use name and password.
  20. In the User Name field, type your full Pioneer Wireless email address (e.g., johndoe@pioneerwireless.net).
  21. Click the OK button.

    Note: When you first send an email, a window asking for your password will appear. Type your email password and click OK to continue.
